The Lenovo ThinkServer RD450 boasts up to two of the latest Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 Series processors. With up to 512GB of memory via 16 slots, there is a tremendous increase in capacity over the previous generation. Because the RD450 uses next-gen DDR4 memory, you get up to a 50-percent boost in performance and up to a 50-percent increase in power savings — enabling your applications to run faster and more efficiently. These improvements, coupled with the RD450's highly flexible design, make it perfect for your infrastructure, collaboration and line-of-business applications, as well as web-serving or hosting.

The Lenovo ThinkServer RD450 is a dual-socket, 2U server that offers flexible configuration options to create the right system for your needs. If you're a small- to medium-sized business, this server is ideal because of its large, cost-effective storage capacity. Dual SD card options are also available for hypervisor booting. The ThinkServer RD450 2.5-inch configuration leverages the Lenovo AnyRAID design, allowing the use of your choice of RAID adapter without taking up a PCIe slot. For more protection and performance, upgrade your ThinkServer RAID adapter for additional RAID levels and flash-backed cache.

A key feature of the RD450 and all ThinkServer systems is its use of open industry standards and protocols, so it integrates seamlessly into your multi-vendor environment. That means you can use your existing management tools with the RD450 or feel free to try ours – many at no additional charge. The RD450 offers a suite of intuitive lifecycle tools that make management easy, so you can focus on IT projects that drive your business. These new tools include configuration, deployment and power-planning tools, as well as a tool for energy management.
